These Terms of Use govern the English-language website of GS Eye Center for international patients and the consultation service offered through it. By using the site or sending an inquiry, you agree to them.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms set out the conditions for using this website and the international consultation and coordination service offered through it, and the rights and duties between you, the clinic and its coordination partner.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Clinic" means GS Eye Center (Mijin Plaza, 390 Gangnam-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea), the medical institution that provides all medical care described on this website.
- "Portzone" means Portzone Co., Ltd., the clinic's international marketing and coordination partner and a foreign patient attraction agency registered in the Republic of Korea (registration no. A-2026-01-01-07030).
- "Website" means this English-language site at gseyecenterseoul.com.
- "User" or "you" means anyone who uses the Website or sends an inquiry through it.
- "Consultation" means the exchange of information before an in-clinic examination, through the consultation form or WhatsApp.
References to "we" and "us" mean the Clinic and Portzone, each acting within its role.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of the Terms)
- These terms take effect when published on this page.
- We may amend them within the limits of applicable law. Amended versions are published on this page with a revised date before they apply, and material changes are announced here in advance.
- Continuing to use the Website after an amendment takes effect counts as acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Website; you may also request deletion of your information under the Privacy Policy.
Article 4 (Content of the Service)
- Information pages about the Clinic, its doctors, equipment and procedures.
- Consultation and pre-assessment through the consultation form and WhatsApp.
- Coordination of exam, surgery and follow-up scheduling for international patients.
- Coordination support around a visit, such as interpretation arrangements and visit planning.
- Aftercare follow-up coordination after you return home.
Article 5 (Non-Medical Service Notice)
Portzone is not a medical institution under the Medical Service Act of the Republic of Korea and performs no medical services of any kind. Diagnosis, examination, treatment, surgery and all other medical care are provided by GS Eye Center and its medical staff.
Article 6 (Roles and Responsibility of the Clinic and Portzone)
- Portzone provides marketing, communication and coordination between you and the Clinic.
- The Clinic bears responsibility for medical care under Korean medical law.
- Questions that call for medical judgment are answered by the Clinic's medical team, not by coordination staff.
Article 7 (Consultations and Formation of the Treatment Agreement)
- Sending the consultation form or a WhatsApp message is a request for information. It does not book surgery, reserve a date, or create any payment obligation.
- We aim to reply within one business day; this is a service goal, not a contractual deadline.
- Pre-assessments given before your in-clinic exam are directional. The confirmed procedure and plan follow the exam.
- Any agreement for medical treatment is made directly between you and the Clinic, separately from these website terms.
Article 8 (Consultation Without Charge; Costs)
- Consultation and pre-assessment through this Website carry no charge and no obligation.
- If you decide to proceed, medical fees are paid by you directly to the Clinic on the basis it quotes after your examination. This Website displays no prices; a personal quote follows the exam.
- Travel, accommodation and similar costs of your visit are borne by you.
Article 9 (Users' Obligations)
- Provide accurate information in inquiries - a pre-assessment built on an inaccurate prescription helps no one.
- Do not use this Website or its channels for emergencies. If you have urgent symptoms, contact local emergency care immediately.
- Use the Website lawfully and do not infringe the rights of others.
Article 10 (Obligations of the Clinic and Portzone)
- Handle your inquiry with care and without undue delay.
- Protect your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Conduct international patient attraction lawfully under Portzone's registration as a foreign patient attraction agency.
- Demand no fee from you for the consultation itself.
Article 11 (Information, Not Medical Advice)
Everything on this Website is general information about the Clinic and its procedures. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and reading it does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Whether any procedure suits you can be determined by an in-clinic examination and a doctor's judgment - not by a website. Individual results vary; descriptions of procedures, recovery and outcomes describe what the Clinic publishes, not a promise about your case.
Article 12 (Prohibited Acts)
- Sending inquiries under a false identity or with information you know to be false.
- Posting or transmitting unlawful content through the Website's channels.
- Interfering with the operation of the Website or attempting to disrupt it.
- Scraping or harvesting personal data from the Website.
- Using the Website's content or images commercially without permission (Article 13).
Article 13 (Intellectual Property Rights)
The content of this Website - text, layout, and images, including signed photographs published by the Clinic - belongs to GS Eye Center, Portzone Co., Ltd., or their respective rights holders, including the individuals pictured. You may view the Website and share links to it; you may not republish its content or images for commercial use without prior permission.
Article 14 (Third-Party Services and Links)
This Website links to services we do not operate, such as WhatsApp (Meta Platforms), loads fonts from Google Fonts, and uses Google Analytics as described in the Privacy Policy. Those services run under their own terms and privacy policies. A link is a convenience, not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for third-party services.
Article 15 (Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability)
We keep this Website accurate and current with reasonable care, but we do not warrant that every detail is complete or error-free at all times - equipment, staffing and policies can change between updates. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. We first seek to resolve any dispute through consultation with you; disputes that remain are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Korea, unless mandatory law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
Article 18 (Language)
These terms are prepared in English for the international Website. Documents you sign at the Clinic for treatment itself may be prepared in Korean; interpretation support can be arranged during coordination.
